Pages and plates are lightly tanned and foxed throughout, heavier to endpapers and pastedowns. Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. A few plates are detached but remain present. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth. Notable sunning to spine and edges. Minor white marking to surfaces.

Book has a forward lean.

In overall good used condition with minor signs of age, handling and storage - green cloth boards slightly tanned to spine and corners gently rounded. Internally clean. Binding tight and appears little read; no annotations or inscriptions - two sets of owner’s names to ffep, one set scored through; toning to page-ends but text and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Not an old library book.
