Signed by the author with an inscription for the former owner on the title page. Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Dutton, 1996. Set in northern Vermont, the story of how Henry and his grandfather go upriver in search of the mysterious fiddler who makes the Northern Lights dance. Illustrated throughout by her frequent collaborator, Leslie W. Bowman. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped. A later edition. Includes a short inscription, ' To Cory from far to the North where wondrous things happen', and dated 2007. 8-1/2" X 11", Unpaginated, appox. 34 pages. Sturdy illustrated boards that duplicated the artwork of the dust jacket. Jacket has one small closed tear at the top left, about 1/8" long. No further writing besides the inscription, no former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. This is not a remainder, not a library discard. The text pages are clean and the binding is tight and square. Boards are flat and the corners are not bumped or creased. Not a remainder, not a library discard.
