Circa [1995]., [1995].. Very good. - Small quarto booklet [9 inches high by approximately 7-3/4 inches high], softcover. Pictorial black-and white title page and pages 1-[11]. 2 black-and-white photographic illustrations on the last page. The bottom corners of the pages are lightly creased. Very good. <p>A circular logo on the title page is worded "509th Composite Group. / First Atomic Bombardment". The author recounts his participation in the top secret year-long training for, and execution of, the bombing mission over Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. Mr. Marquardt was the aircraft commander of the B-29 #91 Necessary Evil", which carried photographic equipment and accompanied the Enola Gay.<p>Rare in commerce.
