'Kayikla cevelân' [i.e. 'Voyage with a boat'] was written by Yenisehirlizâde Halit Eyüp, the son-in-law of Ahmet Midhat Efendi, one of the shaded names of Turkish literature, in a great style. The book describes a boat trip starting from the Beykoz coast of Istanbul to the Black Sea, Riva shores and its villages in the last period of 19th century. This is a rare book on a Bosphorus voyage.
