Brown boards with blindstamped design. Cover has considerable shelfwear, pieces of spine are missing at top and bottom, edges of boards are very rubbed. Pages are clean and unmarked, with occasional light foxing. Binding is tight. Hinges are perfect. Excellent reading/research copy. This is the decisive book on the manners and modes of conducting business for public gatherings of every sort - from barbecues to elegant dinners, baseball games, yachting, and includes a catalogue of desirable books. Truly a must-have for any historian of the Civil War era. Scarce.
