Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1898 Three-quarter leather over decorated boards; matching decorated endpapers. Red, green and gilt tooled spine; top edge gilt. Ninth edition; original copyright 1890. Translated from the Polish by Jeremiah Curtin. With double tissue-guarded frontispiece half-tone portrait of the author. Generally moderate rubbing and slight scraping to tender top layer of leather extremities, with heaviest rubbing to lower corner tips, which are worn through to boards. Interior clean, tight, and unworn.
