London; Collins, 1978., 1978. Hard Cover. FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp 290. Publishers' red cloth with gilt titles & ruling to spine in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket. A clean tight copy; "To Bill" inscribed to ffep with no further annotation or inscriptions. Jacket very lightly creased to spine and faintly toned to white background otherwise crisp. A Near Fine copy in like jacket. The Author's second novel, set in the 12th century and featuring civil war and witchcraft in Norman England.
