The First UK printing published by Putnam (UK) in 1955.The BOOK is in VERY GOOD+ condition.A little pushing at the spine tips with bumping at the corners. Edges lightly faded and darkened.Toning and spotting to the text block which has encroached onto the pages in places due to the poor quality of paper used in production.Small black dot mark to the upper text block.The WRAPPER is complete and is in VERY GOOD++ or better condition.A little rubbing to the spine folds,spine and corners in a few places.Closed tears to the upper front edge (see images).Red lettering to the spine is only mildly faded.A little edge wear in places but a much better wrapper than usually encountered.The wrapper is protected in a removable Brodart archival cover.The book has been SIGNED by the author to the front blank end paper.A scarce item.Ashtonrarebooks welcomes direct contact.
