Publisher's full green cloth, gilt lettering on red label on spine with gilt borders and decoration, t.e.g. (red), cream endpapers. This edition of the "Life and Achievements of the Renowned Don Quixote De La Mancha" was designed by George Salter. The type used is Linotype Scotch and the illustrations, which are engraved in wood, are by Hans Alexander Mueller. The book was composed, printed and bound by H. Wolff, New York, using paper manufactured by P.H. Glatfelter Co., and buckram cloth made by the Bancroft Mills." Translated from the original Spanish by Peter Motteux.. Former owner's name neatly stamped on ffep, otherwise unmarked, unopened, tight, square and clean. The illustrated slipcase is worn and beginning to split along the seams. NEAR FINE/GOOD (slipcase)..
