London:: Hurst & Blackett,, 1916.. hardcover. GOOD. 16th edition (revised and enlarged with six additional maps and an index). This is a brown cloth hardcover with gold lettering on spine; 2 bound-in fold-out maps and many maps in the text; 336 pages. Cover has slight wear (cloth on tips of corners has worn through;small section of lower rear edge of spine just starting to wear through ); lower half of front cover faded by sunlight; a few minor light spots. Covers bow out very slightly. Dampstain on upper page edges does not penetrate to the interior. Front endpaper has extensive notes in neat old ink by prior owner, who has also signed the first page and placed his bookplate; rest of book is unmarked. Foxing on rear endpaper and last few pages. Despite this long description of flaws, it's in rather nice condition.
