Hardcover has red cloth-covered boards with black spine lettering and decorations. Endpaper design by Alex Schomburg. Jacket Design by Virgil Finlay. First state dust jacket, with four titles listed on rear panel. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Covers have light surface and edge wear, with light fading at the very bottom edge where the dust jacket did not completely protect the book from light. Top page edges lightly foxed. Pages tanned, more so at periphery, but still supple. Pages clean and unmarked. 214 pages. Dust jacket has light surface rubbing, chipped and nicked edges, and 2 small tears. Jacket is sunned so it has lost much of its original color. Jacket lettering is still bright, but only blue and faint red color remain; yellow and darker reds are no longer present. Dust jacket is NOT price clipped, showing original price of $2.00. Remains of old price on front inner flap of dust jacket in pencil; original price is present but crossed out with one line. Two numbers and a letter are stamped in ink at bottom corner of front jacket flap. Spine of book and jacket have black Winston Science Fiction logo of a space rocket within a circle. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
