About This Item

Hanover, New Hampshire, 1930. 81 pages + 12 pages of advertising. Bound in decorated paper-covered boards; beautiful pale green art deco endpapers. One leaf opened crudely and missing narrow strip along foreedge (does not affect text); otherwise quite nice internally. Boards lightly soiled; spine sunned; minor edgewear. Much nicer condition than it sounds. Very scarce Dartmouth literary magazine for May 1930 (volume one, number two). Contains "Tiger Lily", a short story by Carlos Baker; "Too Late", a poem by Reuel Denney; an original woodcut by Otto Bach; a steel engraving by Rockwell Kent (in an ad for the Co-op); and "Turncoats", a civil war play that is unsigned.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket as Issued. Illus. by Otto Bach, Rockwell Kent. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardback.
