About This Item
U.S.A.: Harcourt Brace & World, 1964. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. From the collection of Steinbeck Bibliographer--Adrian Homer Goldstone--a well known collector of Mystery literature. This is a rare signed book by the French mystery author Simenon. This copy is an Omnibus of 5 titles; Maigret in Montmartre, Maigret's Mistake, Maigret has Scruples, Maigret and The Reluctant Witnesses, and Maigret Goes To School. This copy is in Very Good to Near Fine Condition with only a bit of dustiness to the page edges and a slightly indented spine towards the top--the dustjacket is price-clipped and has fading to the spine and edgewear at the tips and head and heel of the spine. There are also a couple of closed end repaired tears and a slight loss of paper at the bottom front tip. This copy has been signed on the half title page by Simenon and dated "1983"--see photos. A rare signed copy--especially of this Omnibus. Protected in a new clear acrylic dustjacket covering and will be wrapped tightly and shipped in a box.
