The author's first novel, reissued in a new dust jacket circa 1965 (referencing DR. STRANGELOVE, "The Magic Christian," and other later works). A satire on American life, centering around "Dr. Frederick Eichner, the world's leading dermatologist and pride of the smart Hauptman Clinic in Beverly Hills, California, and the entrancingly irritating Mr. Felix Treevly, who comes to him as a patient and stays as an obsession." Quarter-bound in lime green cloth and rust/orange paper-covered boards, generally accepted as the second-state binding .
