Hardcover in white boards with gilt picture on front; binding is held together by a thin gold-braid ribbon laced through brad-lined holes. First edition. As New, crisp, clean, and unmarked. Light bump to one corner. Front cover has a whisper of soiling. A baby book put together in 1954 by wives at the Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama, for the benefit of Air Force Youth Activities and Welfare at that time. The motto of the book: "Air Force babies are fledglings, Army babies brats, Navy babies are juniors, All babies are darlings." Printed on heavy, off-white paper, decorated with illustrations by Roxanne Kuter Williamson. Large 4to (10 1/4" x 12 1/2"). Unpaginated.
