London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1914. Cloth. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Smaller, sturdy book, quality glossy purple cloth, embossed borders to front, lettering on spine hard to read, light green and cream illustration of a knight and ladies inside covers and adjacent end papers, ink owner's name at top of first front end paper, another with date 1973 neat inside front cover, the title "The Pocket Book" printed at bottom of inside covers and adjacent end papers, 212 lightly browned pages, photos and charts of ships throughout, fine pencil notes on some pages noting ships that sank or were attacked. Frontispiece photo portrait of Admiral Sir John Jellicoe. tiny and very tiny light dots on front, spine very slightly darkened, light surface wear to front right and bottom back edge near tip. Very Good.
