First Edition Thus of the 1813 British original, with substantial additions as noted in the lengthy title. Thick octavo, deep brown full morocco boards, impressed channeling, gilt titling and illumination on covers and spine, All Edges Gilt, brown endpapers, 750 pp. Replete with engravings by various artisans. A strong Very Good: moderate scuffing (see all scans), notable foxing at endpapers and near-endpapers. The myriad engravings all retain their tissue guards, but those tissue guards do show substantial foxing as well. Very stout binding. Very scarce as such, in said condition. Try to find another such.
