London: The Quality Book Club, 1960. Quality Book Club edition. Slight creasing to edges of dustwrapper, otherwise a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Deals with the attempt made by Eiloart, his son Tim, and Colin & Rosemary Mudie to cross the Atlantic in a balloon in 1958. They set off from Tenerife, but the balloon crashed into the sea 1200 miles SE of the Canary Islands. They sailed the rest of the way in the twin-hulled gondola until they were towed into Barbados. 256pp, 2 b&w diagrams.. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
