Description:
1835 ARCTIC Voyage 1ed John Ross Narrative North-West Passage Inuit Eskimos MapsJohn Ross was a notable British explorer known for his Arctic and Antarctic explorations. After a brief, but successful voyage to the north in 1818, Ross and his crew undertook a more extensive second Arctic expedition in 1829. It was on this four-year adventure that Ross encountered Inuit tribes, reached the true North Magnetic Pole, charted new islands, and noted impressive geographical and meteorological phenomena.
According to Field,
"wonderfully interesting narrative of human endurance, triumphing over the most awful peril and suffering. The sumptuous printing which makes every page a picture has even its luxury enhanced by the splendid steel engravings and lithographs. The former are so excellent as to be worthy of preservation as gems of art."

1671 ECONOMICS 1ed Puglisi ACCOUNTING Economica Mathematics Italian Palermo RAREOnofrio Puglisi was a 17th-century Italian mathematician known for two separate arithmetic treatises. The second, entitled "Practice of Numeral Economics", proved to be one of the best 17th-century Italian works on accounting. It was also one of the earliest books of its kind. Prior to 1671, no Italian authors had published works solely on accounting (Fanfani, p.426). A landmark work in the history of Italian accounting!

Description:
HEMINGWAY, ErnestA very early copy of The Old Man and the Sea. Published by Charles Scribner's Sons, 1952.
Description
A notable early copy of the very first US edition.
It is possibly the tightest of all of Hemingway's stories. In polishing which he achieved astonishing depth of meaning in his narrative.
The last of his major works, The Old Man and The Sea earned Hemingway both the Pulitzer and Nobel prizes.
First edition, later issue, with dust jacket blurb announcing the Pulitzer and Nobel Prizes. A handsome copy of Hemingway's award-winning masterpiece.
Near fine condition. Excepting the slightest tone along the jacket top edge, this would be a fine copy. No inscriptions and bright throughout.
