About This Item

Baltimore: F. Lucas. Second. hardcover. very good. The text is interspersed with blank sheets of colored paper, possibly for owner's notations or where plates were to have been inserted (clearly nothing has been removed). Small 4to, contemporary 3/4 leather (edges well-rubbed but sound; some light foxing). Baltimore: F. Lucas, no date [1830]. Errata slip for second edition is laid-in and with a very neat owner's inscription dated 1830.

A charming dictionary of flowers as mentioned in poetry and literature of the past.
