A book of children's verse written and drawn by Walter Crane (1845-1915), the famous artist and book illustrator, each page contains a short verse about a flower which is illustrated as a person. Cloth and colour pictorial boards browned and stained in places, edgeworn, corners chipped with some loss, cloth covered spine ends worn, closed edges browned, illustrated endpapers, ink inscription to fep, colour illustration to title page, 40 colour lithographs of people in flower costumes through the seasons, printed on double-fold pages with fold at fore edge, the flowers are described in verse as well as in colour illustrations of various people, all pages clean and bright, "The End" in Crane's lettering is printed at the foot of page 40, binding tight and secure, publisher's catalogue to rear of book.
