Lyon: Charles Savy Jeune. Very Good+. 1845-1849. First Edition. Hardcover. Nicolas Charles Seringe was a French physician and botanist who was director of the Jardin de Plantes de Lyon. Three volumes 1845, 1847 and 1849. Black cloth spine, clean green marble paper covered boards. Texts are tight, clean and intact with a few lightly foxed pages mostly on the first & last few pagesof each book. Volume 1, [xxxii, 605pp] , 11 plates,1845. Volume 2, [xii, 588pp], 11 plates,1847. Volume 3, [xii ,635pp], 9 plates (plate IX hand-colored) ,1849. All three volumes are illustrated with plates and numerous b/w engravings in text. French text, Prior owners signatures in all three volumes. Botany. Agriculture, Flora; B/W Engravings; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 1928 pages .
