Original publisher's brown cloth - with gilt dulled to spine. All plates present but for the plate opposite page 24. Gaumont British naval welfare fund plate and another plate pasted to the front paste-down. Upper edge brown. Some light foxing to the fore-edge and some scattered foxing elsewhere - most notable to the endpapers including the title page.
