About This Item
New York, New York, U.S.A.: Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 1965. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 1965 FS & G FIRST printing of Chopping's horror tale made into 2 very successful movies. This book is in F+/F condition. The HB is very clean and unmarked inside, but has a missing blank FFEP (first front end paper). The purple boards with green wraparound are very clean and tight. The top page edges retain it's light blue dye with some sun fading. The DJ is price-clipped with wear of small chips at the folds and spine ends. There is a 1 cm x 2 cm missing piece on the lower spine with half of the publisher's name remaining. Chopping's photo is clear and his illustrated cover art is still vivid. A very solid copy of a very scarce first! **Brenbooks specializes in first edition books made into films.**
