Toronto: Tundra Books. Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket. 2004. First Edition. Hardcover. 0887766366 . [24] p. 28.5 cm. Signed by Author Sound and square binding in glossy, illustrated boards. Slightly rubbed. Except for the author's inscription, the inside pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has a 1" closed tear at the head of the spine. The edges of the jacket are curling a little and it is lightly rubbed. Not price clipped. The retelling of a Quebec folklore story about an eleven year old named Baptiste and his magic canoe that takes him and some lumberjacks home for the New Year. Translated into English by Sheila Fischman. Illustrated in full colour. Signed and date to a previous owner by Roch Carrier on the back of the front free endpaper. .
