About This Item
Hardcover navy-blue cloth boards with gold gilt text to spine are protected by a decorative, unclipped, dustjacket that has edge curling front/rea/top/bottom with a chip on the rear and a small tear to the front lower corner. The spine, boards, and corners, are in very good condition with only slight wear at the bottom of the back strip and a dent to the front board (see photos). Corners are sharp and with no bumping. The binding is straight and tight, hinges are firmly attached with no cracking to the decorative end pagers. Text block is firm with all pages attached with a small red mark to the lower block. The interior pages are clean with no tears, no chips, or previous owner marks.
"The book is illustrated throughout by superb aerial color photographs which, together with an outstanding series of action paintings, complement the text in recapturing the sensation of flight. For the technically minded there are detailed artworks and photographs of cockpit interiors."
