VG+/none; 219 pages; First edition; Very Good+ in original brown cloth titled in old gilt, top edge gilt, bottom edge untrimmed, fore-edge untrimmed and partially unopened; light acid stains on endpapers, presumably from a long-departed dustjacket, tiny closed tear at top of backstrip. One of the earliest collections of Gullah folklore, told in the dialect. . First Edition. Hard Cover. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
