Large octavo, xxxviii, [2], 596pp. Full brown leather, decorative covers with title in gilt on front. Five raised bands, title in gilt on red morocco label affixed to spine. All edges gilt, gilt turn-ins, marbled endpapers. Stated "A New Edition, Revised and Enlarged" on title page. Solid text block, light wear to edges of spine and covers, a near fine example. Complete with 72 in-text illustrations and an engraving on the title page. This work includes ballads and poems from notable wordsmiths, such as Shakespeare, Tennyson, Robert Browning and Longfellow.
