About This Item
Platt & Monk, 1934 This is a set of 3 Piper books published by Platt & Munk: Folk Tales copyright 1934, no illustrator listed; Children of Other Lands copyright 1943 and illustrated by the Hollings; Bumper Book, illustrated by Eulalie and copyright 1961. All are clean, bright and tight without the usual crayon, creases, stains, etc. found in children's books of this era. Only Bumper Book has an ownership name in it [on the front end paper]. Children and Folk Tales have a pictorial pastedown on the front cover while the Bumper Book has printed covers. Each book is illustrated in color and black and white. Each has modest wear at the tips. Bumper Book with a modest crease on front cover, some finger soil on back. Folk Tales with foxing on two edges of the text block, not visible when opened. Overall a nice collection of these three titles. Books are 12 1/4" tall. Extra shipping may entail due to weight/
