New York: Grove Press. Very Good in Good+ dust jacket. 1968. First American Edition. Hardcover. 208 p. 23 cm. Sound and square binding in green, cloth-covered boards. Minor wear to edges and corners. Top edge of the text block is slightly soiled. Small, light stain on the front free endpaper. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket has heavy crinkling to the head of the spine. There is a stain mark to the tail and a rub mark on the middle of the spine. Not price clipped. A volume of original folk tales by German writer Wilhelm Matthiessen, translated by Kathleen Shaw. Illustrated with full and two shade watercolours. .
