Book Condition: Very Good -; light bumping to head and tail; light shelfwear to head, tail, and tips; small insect hole in rear gutter; from pages 5-13 on the at the bottom of the pages near the spine there is a stained area began on page 9 and spread out to stain the other pages; it is organic of some type; slight sun fade to spine. No DJ. Orange cloth boards and spine with bright black lettering on the spine and front board; pasted on illustration on front board. Clean internals. Internal hinges are sound and not split. 258 pp 12mo. Dannie Macnoun and Jimmy Malone are the best of friends, living and working side by side by the banks of the Wabash, plowing the fields in summer and trapping rats in the winter, rivals in their quest to hook the Black Bass from the local stream. They tend their farms and trap lines together as neighbors, and yet as rivals ... for they both love the same woman, married to one of the men, but has always been in love with the other. Yet this is not a sordid story ... for the single man loves the other man as a dear friend, and would not do anything to hurt his friend. A story of friendship, rivalry, guilt, and finally, forgiveness and love. A clean very presentable copy.

Synopsis

At the foot of the rainbow is about Jimmy Malone and Dannie Macnoun. They have been friends since childhood and Dannie is in love with Jimmy's wife, Mary. With all the harm that Jimmy does to Dannie, dannie still doesn't see how deceitful and how spiteful Jimmy is. Also included is a biographical introduction to the author's life.
