Very good. 2 vols. 307, 250 pages. 23.5 x 16 cm, With one photograph, eight colored plates, 50 full-page and about 130 text illustrations, and a large fold-out Map from Surveys by the author located at the rear of Vol. II. Printed on heavy glossy stock. Appendix dealing with specific events of his capture and imprisonment. He was known for a witty writing style, he also aided in the British World War I designing tanks and planes.
