Contains black and white and colour illustrations. Clean pages and illustrations with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. Minor water staining to fore edges textblock. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Lettering is bright and clear. Minor wear marks to boards. Unclipped jacket. Panels and spine have light edgewear with tears and creases. Minor loss to spine and edges. Visible wear marks to spine and panels.

Top edge of the text block a little foxed. Gift inscription on back of front free endpaper. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustjacket has some wear at the corners and spine ends. The red series title on the spine has faded and is almost illegible. Somewhat shelf rubbed. It is not price clipped. Number two in the Great Stories of Canada series for children.
