Très curieux ouvrage sur la formation du foetus, dans lequel l'auteur montre que l'âme raisonnable vient se loger dans le corps du fœtus le troisième jour après sa conception. Thomas Feyens (Anvers, 1567-1631) a étudié la médecine à Leiden, puis à Bologne de 1590 à 1593. Il eut comme professeur Mercuriali, Aldrovandi et Tagliacozzi. Par la suite il a été professeur de médecine à l'Université de Louvain. Papier bruni, mais très bel exemplaire. *** In-8 de (16), 283, (2) pp. Vélin, tranches rouges. Thomas Feyens (Antwerp, 1567-1631) studied medicine at Leiden, then to the University of Bologna in 1590 and 1593. There he studied under Mercuriali, Aldrovandi and Tagliacozzi. He taught latter on medicine at Louvain. Paper slightly browned, but a very fine copy. - -.
