London: John Richardson, 1810. First Edition. Octavo (8 5/8 x 5 3/8 inches; 220 x 135 mm), xli, [3], 621, [1 errata], [2 adverts], in contemporary speckled calf, spine gilt with red morocco label. London: William Pickering, 1845. Small Octavo. Aldine edition of the British poets. In 6 volumes. Portrait frontispiece in volume one. A collection of Chaucer's poetical works along with a memoir. An exceptionally nice set. Though all the volumes appear to have been rebacked at an early date and beautifully executed. (It would not have been noticeable except; the marbled endpapers did not match the marbled edges). A beautiful set, bound in full polished calf, spines flat, maroon and brown spine labels gilt, gilt ruled compartments decoratively stamped in gilt, all edges marbled, remarkably fresh and bright internally, with a few bumped corners. A lovely set.
