Leonardo had a plan to make the Arno navigable from Florence to the sea and crossed paths with Machiavelli when he was designing and promoting his plan for the Arno. There is a hint of water rippling to the upper inside corner of the last few pages (and a small area to the top edgewhere the red cover bled through--but not to the interior of the pages), elsea a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. The dust jacket in similarly nice condition with no chips, tears, or markings.; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 278 pages .
