Arena Publishing Corp., 1958. Very Good. V4 N11 [N10 contents page], January 1958; 35c cover price, b/w throughout, color wrapper and centerfold, 130pp, distributed by PDC. Vintage non-nude pin-up digest magazine devoted to celebrities, sports, vice, truce crime, swimsuit models, burlesque, wartime themes, loaded w/ photographs & great models (later issues w/ color inserts). Russ Meyer was a major contributor. Similar to EYE, PIC, TAB, VUE, etc.; later issues (about 1960) began to feature nude photography, & by the end of its run featured more explicit sex. Arline Hunter cover/9pp, Khrushchev, Karen Steele, Navy shakedown, Guy de Maupassant, F.B.I., "Secrets of Life" Disney film, Anton Chekov, labor unions, Mussolini, Rita Grable & Diane Webber 2-sided foldout (plus Webber 8pp), Sophia Loren, Eve Meyer 7pp (Russ Meyer), Texas cartoon, polygamy, Phil Silvers, Marylee Earle, Scott Weldon as Bertha centerfold/8pp. Very Good Plus, light rubbing, tiny pencil to front, slight roll.
