About This Item

New Rochelle, NY: Arlington House, 1970. First Edition. Massive oversize art book format, 492 pages. Introduction by Adela Rogers St. Johns. Illustrated throughout with over 1000 black & white photographs, many never before in print, with a 16-page full-color section of old movie magazine covers. Near fine copy with a trace of edge wear in a lightly used dust jacket with a hint of fading to the spine, a few faint spots, and a few very small chips and tears. Enclosed in the publisher’s original slipcase which has some slight wear and a bit of dampstaining and rippling to the cloth. A truly amazing volume honoring the careers of four of the most lovely actresses from Hollywood’s Golden Age of Glamour: Gloria Swanson, Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, and Marlene Dietrich.
