Vintage paperback, Pocket Books 4706; Edgar Award-winner Jack Vance, perhaps better known for his Hugo and Nebula Award-winning science fiction, wrote this mystery under the Ellery Queen "house" pseudonymn; Paperback Original, First Printing of the True First Edition; text is clean, tight, lightly age-tanned with a very slight spine lean in pictorial wrappers with 1 x 4 cm. area on front cover near spine where finsih has been scratched, o/w minor surface and edgewear. Scarce. Collectable.
