Boston: Ginn & Company; Athenaeum Press, 1901. First edition, title page dated 1901. Black and white illustrations throughout, including decorative little bird illustrations in the margins. Lovely binding, green cloth lettered and decorated in gilt, no dustjacket, likely as issued. Some light rubbing to corners and spine ends, spine a bit sunned but readily legible, good hinges, sound text block, armorial bookplate of Charles Sidney Waldo inside the fornt cover along with a gift notation to that person dated 1901 on the front free endpaper, pages clean, no other names or markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
