Century Publishing Co.Ltd. 1985 (1st.).. Tall 8vo. ( 19 cm x 26 cm). Nice red and marbled pictorial hardback with matching dustwrapper. Maroon endpapers. In near fine condition with very good dustwrapper. (d/w not price clipped). Signed by the owner of Frampton Court, Gloucestershire. Relevant note loose in front. Profusely illustrated with 300 Victorian flower paintings recently discovered in the attic at Frampton Court in Gloucestershire (artists include: Charlotte Anne Purnell). Unpaginated. An account of the wild flowers, the painters and their paintings, as well as an enduring record of the richness of the English countryside in the early 19th. century. Painted between 1828 and 1851 the 300 paintings lay undiscovered in an attic for many years.
