A review of the shop signs employed in the 17th and 18th centuries, compiled from the author's collection of trade cards and billheads. Some shelf wear and minor soiling.

The first series of drawings and photographs of fine examples of architectural details. 10" x 13". Ivory cloth boards with red title label with gilt stamped lettering. Internals clean and fox-free. Previous owners' inscriptions on the flyleaf and the title page. Some light soiling and wear to covers and a lttle bumping of corners. Binding is tight and hinges sound.

(Evanston, Illinois, 2000): Crow Woods Pub. Quarto. 159p. ALA Booklist notes that "Sundell's finely produced volume...conveys a strong sense of Chicago's great patchwork of cultures and experiences." An unusual copy that not only is in fine condition but is signed by the author and thirty-four additional artists in the book. This will help the collector and gallery owner to recognize the authentic signatures of leading Chicago artists. The earlier edition (1998) was issued in paper but this edition not only expands in size and number of artists but is a well-designed hardcover with a beautiful dust jacket with the cover by Eleanor Himmelfarb.

Renoir, Pientre de Nu, Preface d' Henri Regnier, Les Editions Berheim-Jeune, Paris 1923. soft cover. Original limited edition, this copy is one of only 150 printed on Arches paper, with one original etching in black on the front cover (Femme nue couchee tournee a droite, Delteil 14). this edition includes 40 reproductions by Renoir in Black, sanguine and in color, executed by Daniel Jacomet. This copy, however, is missing one of the black and white reproductions. Aside from the missing print, the book is in fairly good condition. The front and back covers are tanned, page edges are lightly aged and the binding is loose.
