Frank Leslie's Pleasant Hours (lot Of 12 Issues) -

This is a collection of 12 issues of "Frank Leslie's Pleasant Hours" ranging in date from 1880 to 1890. The issues contain articles of fiction and non-fiction, as well as poetry. Each issue contains numerous illustrations (some of which are full-page). There are illustrated advertisements at the front and back. Each issue has a table of contents on the inside front cover. The following 12 issues are included: February 1880; March 1880; June 1880; August 1880; March 1881; May 1881; July 1881; December 1881; November 1883; September 1884; February 1886; September 1890.

Condition:
The primary condition issue with the lot is the wear to the cover edges and spines - there are tears at the edges, and some of the spines have bits of paper missing (please see the photos). Each front cover has 5c (cents) written in pencil near the top-right corner. March 1881 - 3" stain at top edge of inside back cover. June 1880 - light stain at the bottom of the front cover, and top-left corner of back cover. July 1881 & March 1880 - text block has separated from covers; large spine tear. November 1883 - dampstaining to the pages. December 1881 - dampstaining at the top page edges; staining at some of the lower-outer page corners at the front and back; pages 336-339 have staining at the bottom half. September 1884 - the front cover is detached. A perfectly good reading lot with overall decent pages, but in Fair condition only due to the cover and spine issues.
