The Merriwell books, from their inception in 1896, have sold more than 500,000,000 copies, establishing Patten as the king of the dime and half-dime novelists. Inscribed by Hinsdale on the front flyleaf. Octavo. Original gray cloth binding, with red and gilt titles. The dust jacket is price-clipped, with some general minor shelfwear, and a few brown paper reinforcements to the verso; else very good. Inscribed By Editor.
