About This Item
Pamphlet, 8vo, original wrappers, 36 pp. Some wear to spine and extremities, a little staining on front cover, normal aging and toning; otherwise very good. Somewhat scarce report (OCLC locates 10 copies), concerning the unfortunately consistent story of unfair treatment of Native Americans. A.C. Davis makes a case against Lewis V. Bogy, and associates for supplying Indians with inferior goods. Bogy was Commission of Indian Affairs in 1867 and 1868. He was also the United States Senator from Missouri (1873-1877), and faced other corruption charges when in office. Howes D102. OCLC.
