New York, NY: The Levins Press, 1916. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+. Green boards with gilt lettering on front cover. Boards are clean and show slight shelf wear. Pages are intact, clean and unmarked. "A chain of patriotic poems proving the unswerving devotion of the Irish Race to the Cause of Liberty." Signed copy. Inscription reads, "To Mrs. Mary A. Mallon from Anna Frances Levins December 1922." Mary A. Mallon, possibly "Typhoid Mary," an Irish woman immigrated to United States; spent part of the last 20 years of her life at Sloane Hospital, NY, where the hospital's official photographer was Anna Frances Levins.
