Printed and Published by G. Cawthorn, London, 1796. 8vo (8 1/2 inches), 452-pages plus unpaginated index. Contemporary mottled brown calf, corners rubbed. Recently rebacked in sympathetic calf with raised bands and burgundy lettering piece. Original marbled endpapers retained. The binding very sound, internally some foxing and browning but overall very good. With engraved plates, as under, 1). Wm. Henry Lambton Esq. M.P. Prov.l Gr. M. for Durham. 2). The Jewel of the R. W. M. of the Lodge of the Nine Muses. 3). Mrs. E. Caslon. 4). The Jewel of the S.W. of the Lodge of the Nine Muses. 5). The Jewel of the S.W. of the Lodge of the Nine Muses. 6). Inserted from another work of smaller format? With stab marks on upper margin. "Westm'r & Keystone Lodge".7). The Secretaries Jewel of the Lodge of the Nine Muses. Whilst there is much Masonic content there is much else of a more diverse nature, e.g. "Sketches of the Manners and Customs of the North-American Indians" over 3 issues. Uncommon.
