About This Item
Chez Etienne Valat, 1722. Hardcover. Acceptable. IN ORIGINAL UNRESTORED BINDING from 1722 in French, this a pretty cool antiquarian book in poor exterior condition, but fully restorable. (see pictures). Inside its in good shape. Once owned by a library with the ink less stamp of that day used. NOT a first edition, as it says "Nouvelle" appearing to be the second edition. I don't read French but research shows it is the collected work of Jean de Campistron, printed in 1722, the year he died. Volume one only. Plays (all tragedies) include:VirginieArminiusAndronicAlcibiade and PhocionFull titleOEUVRES DE MONSIEUR DE CAMPISTRON, DE L'ACADEMIE FRANCOISE. NOUVELLE EDITION. CORRIGEE & AUGMENTEE DE PLUSIEURS PIECES QUI NE SE TROUVENT POINT DANS LES EDITIONS PRECEDENTES.
