Original blue cloth, titles stamped in gilt on the front cover and spine, xxxi [blank], 784 pp., frontispiece, 139 photographic illustrations on rectos and versos of 34 plates, 9 maps, 4 folding and 2 contained in rear pocket inside cover, preface, foreword, introduction, illustrated from photographs, maps, appendix, index. Foreword by Gilbert Grosvenor, Introduction by Sir Robert Borden. A narrative of an expedition organized under the auspices of the Canadian government to investigate the comparatively unknown areas of the western Canadian Artic, especially the Beaufort Sea and Coronation Gulf with extensive information on Eskimos, fauna and flora, and methods of Arctic travel. Fine, bright copy.
