A while later he was serving in WWll on the cruiser HMS Kenya in a convoy to Malta. This is the story of his life in the Royal Navy and his involvement in WWll, both in the Atlantic and in the Pacific and then in the Korean War. His other interest was horse racing, hence the title 'Frigates and Fillies' and the author was a keen horse rider winning a number of important horse races. B & W photos
